The Amazing Amazonian Acai

Hello my lovelies! I can not deal with how long it has been since I have written a blog, but with only two weeks till the big final and also trying to finish up assignments alongside having to go to work and trying to organise fundraisers .. I don't get a minute to sit down and write blogs - so sad!! That doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about the blog it is always in my head and thinking of new little skincare techniques to help all you lovely ladies (and young men).. haha!!

I want to start off with my two newest purchases.. EXCITING!! Last week I ventured back into The Body Shop, because as you all know its my favourite place to go when I'm focusing on products which are cruelty free. I actually spent about half an hour to forty minutes in the shop trying to decide which mask I would try next!! I can not write this blog without mentioning the amazing staff in The Body Shop, I was greeted by the most friendly member of staff, she was so down to earth and extremely helpful. I told her all about my blog and how I wanted to try something new to suit my readers, and also about my journey through the Richmond Centre's Miss Earth NI and my advocacy, the girl was actually so interested and she couldn't wait to get reading my blog! I actually couldn't fault the staff at all, good customer service means EVERYTHING!! Sorry I'm away off topic, most of you are probably like 'okay be quiet now and tell me about the mask' .. Sooooorry but I think its so important to give compliments when needed! Today people are so quick to complain and write complaints but its not that often that someone will praise you for what you do - wee small quote of the day. I actually sound like your therapist now as well haha!!

OOOOOOKAY .. so back to the point of the mask!! I decided to go for the Amazonian Acai after staring at all the masks for a solid half an hour. The reason for this was that I read what the ingredients on the back were specifically focusing on, and for me it was what I was targeting within my skincare routine. I'll briefly touch on it, so the Acai berry extract is included in the mask for the reason that it is rich is anti-oxidants and Vitamin C these are two amazing NATURAL ingredients to have in a mask for the reason that anti-oxidants help repair and prevent the body tissue from further damage. This suited me because I have a couple of spot scars on my face (damaged tissue) which I wanted to help, therefore that was the first box ticked. Next was the Guarana seed extract, this ingredient is high in caffeine therefore is known to be really good for boosting the skin with energy, two weeks before the final with a lot on my hands, I definitely needed an energy boost in my skin - it was so fatigued looking, second box ticked! Lastly was a community trade Organic Babassu Oil from Brazil, the box read that this was a nut oil which was good for softening and revitalising the skin, soft skin.. what's not to love? Third box ticked! So I thought why not? I'll try this one, not to mention it smelt AMAZING!

MY THOUGHTS..

Now for the exciting bit, what was it like? You are all going to go mad at me.. It's 100% up there beside the Himalayan Charcoal!! NOW .. not for all the same reasons so please don't go buying it if you suffer with bad spots there are two differences I have found. So remember the Himalayan Charcoal mask leaves your skin very tight and stingy but it is amazing for cleaning out pores? Well the Amazonian Acai is much different. It is very light on the skin, it is so cooling a refreshing and smells unbelievable. There is a slight tingle that comes with the mask however it is nothing like that of the Himalayan charcoal. It feels amazing and refreshing on the skin. After I took the mask off my skin felt so soft and refreshed and immediately looked revitalised. However you know me I will never recommend a mask after one use, because I simply don't think that's a true reading. I have used this mask just THREE times and I am already in love. I feel it has had a different outcome than the Himalayan mask. Instead of really cleansing my pores I felt like this mask has really brightened the complexion of my skin, whilst also evening out the appearance of it, reducing the visibility of uneven skin tones!! This mask would be perfect for fatigued skin. However if you are like me, who would suffer from breakouts and tired skin (I know such a hard life, isn't it ?) why don't you rotate and use both masks throughout the week? Using these two masks together was suggested by the lady in The Body Shop who had amazing skin, it is a great combination for exhausted and broke out skin - especially after exam time!! Overall amazing mask, The Body Shop strikes again with there unbelievable CRUELTY FREE products..

10/10

Today I also wanted to touch on my new little NYX Brow Promade which you have all probably seen in my snapchat. It was another wee bargain, only £6 girls!! What I noticed about this Tame&Frame promade was that there was an amazing selection of different shades for all those different hair tones. I thought this was a nice touch as everyone has their own specific tone which they like to have their brows, some people love a strong dark brow and others might prefer a nice lighter brow - its up to you, and NYX is sure to have the right tone girls. Anyways I've been using this little promade all week and I have found a couple of differences which I like, one is that it is much creamier, therefore it is easier to apply, it isn't as THICK as the freedom one. As I came towards the end of my freedom one I found it getting extremely thick, and even when I was trying to remove my makeup it was sticking to my brows and it was quite hard to get off. However this could have been because I was scraping the bottom of the tiny tub haha :(!! Anyways it is much lighter and creamier to apply therefore I found it easier to get the perfect shape for me. One noticeable difference was the size, the tub was significantly smaller than the freedom one, therefore it might not last me as long.. however we will see in the near future how far it goes. For now from me its a 9/10 (dropping that one point for the size lol) would be worth a wee try girls. I don't know about you but I refuse to pay for them dear brow promades.. LOVE A BARGAIN!! Also wanted to add, for any of you who are really supportive of my Miss Earth Advocacy, this product is also Cruelty Free, which I checked on my 'Bunny Free' app before purchasing. POWER TO BE CRUELTY FREE!

PS.. how amazing are them eyelashes? They are of course the SoSue range (because for any of you who know me, she is my inspo lol) but they are from her PRIMARK range?!!! UNREAL.. I love them girls, they were only £5 and I mean they were so thick and the fibres felt so soft and real, I loved them!! I went for a really full lash, these were called HOLLY. There were also many different styles and shapes, get in and get a nosey girls, for a £5 your couldn't beat it, and I'm more than sure I will get at LEAST five wears out of them.. £1 a night when you think about it? LOVE IT.

UNTIL NEXT TIME..

All About my Advocacy

Consumer Power leaves Animal Testing in Our Hands

Heeeello my lovelies!! I cant believe it has nearly been one month since I last posted a blog.. whaaaaat?? That's been way to long I'm super sorry, however my life hasn't been that exciting.. actually I don't think nothing has really changed I've just been doing the same old.. spreading the word of the magic facemask from The Body Shop, naw I'm only joking hahaha!! Naw like I actually need to stop now or I'm going to loose readers as to the much I talk about that mask haha. Anyways today my blog is going to be a little bit different incase you couldn't tell from the powerful title at the top, it might not interest some of you when I go to speak about animal cruelty and animal testing and what not, it is a topic so overlooked and that is what I want to change within my advocacy as Richmond Centre Miss Earth Derry City 2017. Of course I have a lovely new product to introduce to you all before I get into the details of my advocacy and how I want to go about making a change.

I'm suuuuuper excited to tell you all about my new wee hidden gem I found. A couple of weeks ago I was sitting on my phone generally thinking about the blog and about my skin and what not, I was like 'well I've found an amazing mask which literally does everything for my skin and until I find a miracle worker for blackheads, what could I possibly tell my readers about in my next blog?' It then trigger me to think about my skincare routine on a weekly basis and I was looking on Pintrest and a little post about an exfoliator came up. I don't know about any of you, but before I bought this next product I would have never even thought about exfoliating. Don't get me wrong I always exfoliate my body so hard that my skin is raw red when I'm trying to get tan off, but my face .. not so much. So anyways I took a little adventure into Boots .. you know? The norm for me these days. I came across the brand 'Sukin' what actually caught my eye was the bold writing at the bottom of all their products stating 'SKINCARE WHICH DOESN'T COST THE EARTH'.. wooooowzer!! I was like 'oh yes lets see what this is', as soon as I flipped to the back of the bottle it stated very clearly ' No Animal Derivatives, 100% Vegan and No Animal Testing' as of recently this is everything I look for in a cosmetic, therefore it was sold to me immediately! I chose the facial scrub which was detoxifying as I felt it would be best for my skin as I get clogged pores regularly. The only slightly downside about this product was that it was £9.95 again quiet expensive for a facial scrub, however the change you are making as a consumer when you chose to buy from a brand which supports no animal testing, far outweighs the slight price difference than that of a cheaper brand which supports animal testing.. just think about that for a minute. Anyways enough chatting about my tough decision making standing in the middle of Boots and get to the point, I went home that night and tired it on my skin. I used Primark's finest exfoliating gloves to apply the scrub on my face which was towel patted dry after lightly washing it with warm water. There is no need to leave the scrub on your face for a lengthy time as it is working best when you are massaging it into your face and neck using the gloves however, you know me I love to drag a skincare routine out so I let the product sit on my face for just two to three minutes. Again using the gloves I rinsed my hands in warm water continuing to massage the product into my face whilst also slowly removing it. Well girls (and boys.. I'm not judging) .. the results were amazing after one use my skin literally felt so soft and refreshed. For the first week I got addicted to the scrub and was using it every second day because I just loved it, but there is no need for use that often when it comes to exfoliating, you only need to exfoliate once or twice a week. Girls I have been using the Himalayan mask for weeks now and it is amazing and really helps my skin, but see the change of using a wee exfoliator often alongside the mask.. outstanding. The week I brought the srcub I didn't really wear makeup to college or work and the many people said to me 'Your skin is looking amazing!' I was actually so happy because it was a product that I didn't think would have made a massive difference to my skincare routine, however it pleasantly surprised me!!

The facial scrub is the only new product I have really had the chance to try out within the last month, however I will be finishing college soon and I will have you all overloaded with products to try all summer. I want to move on to speak about my advocacy for the Richmond Centre's Miss Earth NI 2017 and what I want to change as an individual on my journey through the pageant. Before the pageant I always aware of animal cruelty and how horrible it was however I didn't know that much about it, and when it came to buying products I always just assumed that the bigger brands would not support animal testing. This is not always the case, animal testing is not banned everywhere in the world and after my research through the PETA website I found that within Europe in 2017 there are still over 11.5 million animals being tested on each year?? This is actually shocking and an eye opener for me and I'm sure for many others out there. All you have to do is go to YouTube and type in 'Animal Testing' to be able to see the absolutely horrific tests that are carried out on animals to be able to distinguish if a product is 'safe' for the use of humans. This is NOT scientific experiments animals have feelings just like humans do, therefore when they are being tortured in metal cages they feel just how we would, scared and overwhelmed. Us and animals all have similar natural instincts our main aim in life is to live, be free and protect ourselves and our families What gives us as humans the right to lock a poor rabbit or monkey or any animal in a cage and use them for 'experimental' purposes? There a bunnies used in labs every day to test different mascara's? Why? Is that bunny going to hop out freely back into the wild with its new mascara? No! That bunny will probably be left blind for the remainder of its life suffering in a metal cage. I actually cant even stress how much I got my eyes opened when I chose animal testing as my advocacy as a Richmond Centre Miss Earth NI 2017 Representative, it makes me ashamed that it has taken me until now to actually see the true effects of animal testing, I mean I always knew about it and knew it was horrible but after the videos and looking into it I done, it makes me feel so strongly about my advocacy and the change I want to make. I basically want to put the message across to young people that their Consumer Power can change Animal Testing - its in our hands. If I can educate the younger generation to stop buying from brands which test their products on animals, they can then educate their peers to do the same thing. If we stop buying from them brands their going to start asking 'Why?' We can answer their questions by emailing them telling them 'we don't support animal testing!' If their not selling, their not making profit, if their not making profit, their business wont be successful, if their business begins to go down hill it will force them to make the changes that we want to see.. STOP ANIMAL TESTING!

Today I decided to take my first two small steps using Consumer Power and through the PETA website I signed up for the Cruelty Free Shopping Guide of 2017, through a couple of easy steps I filled out my name and address and will be forwarded their guide to cruelty free shopping in the near future. This is a small step but it will give me a better insight into what brands are best to buy and which ones are cruelty free. Also today I discovered an app available for Android and IPhone called 'Bunny Free' this app is extremely easy to use, you simply type in the product brand and it will appear straight away if they are cruelty free or not. This app is great to have on the go when your out and about doing a bit of cosmetic shopping, because as I have mentioned before OUR consumer power can change the future of animal testing!!

I am super excited to start making small changes which could help significantly in the future with regards to our wildlife and the Earth's natural habitats. Please start by making the same two small changes I did, and within my upcoming blogs I will be supporting skincare which is promoting a change in animal testing - it's in our hands!

Until next time ..

Consistent Care

Heeeey everyone!! I'm back for another wee quick post, you all already know that up until summer now my posts are going to be very widespread, trying to get the time to balance everything is just impossible, there seriously isn't enough time in the day. Enough of me acting like I balance about ten activities, I have a busy little life for the little person I am okay..

Image result for Stop Animal Testing

So last week I was having thee worst week in terms of skin/beauty. I actually don't think I done any facials at all I was stressed with assignments and I was a grumpy wee witch 99% of the time - and by god I noticed the effects!! By the end of the week my skin was literally back to day 1 of the blog before I done my Himalayan Cleanse. My pores were so clogged, my chin was getting it tight - it still is the blackheads are so noticeable!! However come towards the end of the week I was like this is such a perfect example of how consistent care is essential. That's where my problem raised when I was about 14/15, I was constantly going out caked in the cheapest makeup thinking I was a pure babe, coming home not wanting to take it off because I thought it was that good-looking, heading to bed with it still on waking up, giving my face a quick lick with the facecloth and starting again.. call me a dirty witch but in our early teens we were all guilty of it!! My pores weren't getting the chance to breath therefore they were becoming so clogged resulting in terrible breakouts, I would have came crying to my mammy and insisted on her taking me to the doctors to get tablets for acne, but she herself knew I did not have acne -mummy's always know best!! Even if I did have acne, girls consistent care is necessary, all naturally sourced face-masks are amazing for cleaning out the skin, if we clean our pores regularly pimples wont have the chance to appear. As you all know my personal favourite is the Himalayan Charcoal from the Body Shop, what attracts me most to the body shops products is that their cruelty free. My advocacy for the Richmond Centre's Miss Earth is encouraging skincare which promotes a change across the globe, being kind to the earth and its natural habitats. Not even that, this last month I have been ordering loads of face masks and what not, and I have genuinely found that the ones which are naturally sourced and not chemically created within a lab are proving to be the best for my skin. I am super excited to research my chosen advocacy and share my findings with you all.

Another wee thing I thought I would mention is that this last couple of weeks I've had a few people ask 'is your skin even that bad?' and no is the answer. I would not have terrible skin I know there are girls out there who get it much worse than me, but that's what I'm here for, I still get bad breakouts, if I can find something which is preventing my smaller breakouts, it is going to help those who are worse off than me. It is 100% natural to have bad skin at our age, and I know I have a couple of younger readers who are going through what I went through when I was 14/15 and I wish I had someone blogging to me telling me what to use haha. What I am using might not work for you, but that's okay, everyone's different and everyone has different skin types, that's why I push every blog and say 'look at what suits your skin type best'. Also a few girls have messaged me on Instagram with regards to their skin and what they could use, I have already stressed I am not a skin care specialist, but that's what these girls like, I'm not going to suggest something which costs a fortune and might not work, all I will try and help with is if I have seen any products on the market that might help you specifically, or even any home remedies to try. Also back to the cost of products, last week I reposted my Himalayan Cleanse blog to show you all that the Himalayan Charcoal Mask is worth the money, I completely understand that it is £16 and this is a bit much for a mask but girls its amazing. Also to help you all out I would strongly advise signing up for a Body Shop customer card when you purchase the mask, they are great at emailing your when certain deals are on, and why not build up the points and eventually you may have enough to get money off the mask or receive a free product, you never know!!

Within the nest couple of weeks I am going to try and find a less expensive mask which I feel does the same job. It will take me a few weeks of experimenting and that, so bare with me! I have seen one in Boots which I am itching to try, so I might pop in and purchase that this week and I will let you all know how I'm getting on.

Lastly with regards to the Richmond Centre Miss Earth 2017 Final, this Saturday April 1st I am going to be meeting all the girls for the first time as a group - I am suuuuuuper excited!! We will be visiting all our lovely sponsors in a day packed with activities, so I will be sure to keep you all updated on snapchat throughout the day! I am currently only at the beginning of my Miss Earth journey and already I couldn't encourage any girl enough to go and enter it, amazing experiences with amazing girls and mentors, a pageant for a cause, each girl all doing amazing things to help promote a greener future for our planet!

That's all for today something short and sweet about consistency, never ever give up girls. Keep them facemasks rocking, cleanse, tone and moisturise your life away - you all will see a change, and don't hesitate to send me messages with questions or even send me photos of before and afters, I will always be more than happy to help and I absolutely love hearing from you all!

'I bet you thought you'd seen the last of me'

SUPRISE..

Hellooooo my lovelies!! Again I feel like it is only right to apologise for how long I have kept you all waiting - I've just turned into a wee busy body and never get to sit my bottom down to write a blog!! As you have all seen on Facebook I have made it as a Richmond Centre Miss Earth 2017 finalist, and I am super excited about the experience and hope to bring great change and educate people with my eco message, however I'll keep that a secret for now. Anywayssss, alongside trying to balance Miss Earth plans, college, the blog and my job sometimes I just cant cram it all in, so please bare with me if my blogs are really spread out within the next couple of weeks.

Today I thought I would literally blog about a wee snippet of everything! Whilst I've been gone I have tried out some new facial products and if I'm quiet honest I wasn't overly impressed. Last week I put up a little boomerang of a L'Oréal Pure Clay Detox mask I picked up in Penney's for just 8.50 euro, and I just wasn't overly happy with it. In all honesty I do think it is going to be super hard to beat the Himalayan one from the body shop but I just couldn't take to it. I've used it about four times this week but it definitely doesn't give the glow the Himalayan one does, it was really light and nice to apply to the skin but it got very tight and uncomfortable towards the end, it just wasn't as enjoyable to wear as the Himalayan one. Also today when I was doing my makeup I really noticed a build up of blackheads again, which I never seen when I was using the Body Shops mask, the L'Oréal one just was not cleaning my pores as well as the Himalayan one did. I like to give honest opinions on products because there is no point in me promoting a mask through my blog just because its a bargain and it not doing its job right - so girlies overall I would just pay the extra money and buy the Body Shop Himalayan one!! I hope to get up the town this week to get another mask from their collection to try it out (listen to me 'up the town' as if I don't work there and be in it all the time anyways) - so I'm excited about that and of course will keep you updated on snapchat. That's another thing I meant to mention to you all, when I don't get time to write blogs I will always be sure to keep you updated through my snapchat story (its my new thing, I love it!!) buuuuuut I just haven't gained the confidence to upload videos yet haha!

On a much more positive note last week me and Kyle had the absolute privilege to be whisked of down to Lough Eske Castle and be two models for the day for his Photography Workshop !! It was an amazing day, I couldn't fault any of the team I went down there with, absolute professionals and their work was outstanding. I would like to thank Donal Doherty and Tom Nicholl for the experience. Also the castle is amazing, top class would definitely recommend you all get down to see it some day!

Today I also wanted to show you my amazing transformation on my cheeks!! Actually that sounds like I got my cheeks done or something haha.. that's not the case! I would have suffered really bad from spot scars and red blemishes on my cheeks, and I really hated it because in my eyes my skin could be clear of spots but these scars and blemishes made it look so broke out all the time, I know the struggle girls and I know I'm not the only one who hates this!! BUUUUUUT.. I discovered Bio Oil!! I had always heard about Bio Oil before for scars of cuts and that but I never thought it was the type of treatment for spot scars, so I went to boots and picked up a wee bottle of it to try it. On the bottle it says allow 3 months before you notice any massive changes to the skin so I thought to myself right I'll start using it now then blog about it closer to the summer.. but oh my!! I have only been using the product for over one month and the results are actually amazing!! I even have to admit I do not use it faithfully every night, for the reason being its an oil, it leaves my skin really greasy - another pointer, do not use it during the day or before you put makeup on, it really sits on the skin and is really greasy, I would only use it at night! Other than that amazing product I mean it, just look at the difference!! I have never ever been more comfortable in my own skin..

Before

After

Also this week I was featured in DV8 Fashions Instagram story for outfit inspo.. well wasn't I a happy chappy when I seen that!! Girls there is some amazing bits in DV8 at the minute to suit all styles and at amazing prices! Alsoooo .. if you do buy some of DV8's latest don't forget to use the '#MyDV8' on your photos, and maybe you will be featured in next weeks Instagram inspo..

One last thing before I end todays blog was that last night I attended an outstanding event as a representative for the Richmond Centre's Miss Earth 2017, The Fashion Trail - organised by the most amazing charity The Play Trail. I was absolutely blown away by the confidence and pride oozing out of the children who had taken part in the fashion show, what amazing people they are - role models for us all!! It really opened my eyes to the work the Play Trail does for the children and I can not wait to work alongside them through my whole journey of Miss Earth. I will be raising some money for them within the upcoming months and if anyone wants to get involved or has any ideas of fundraisers we could do I am more than happy to help organise something fun to raise money for them! I've attached some photos from last night, including my little cousin Holly who was an amazing star in last nights show, not to mention all of the rest of the children - brightest wee stars!!

So that's me for now my wee lovelies, I hope that was a good wee update for you all on what I'm doing and where I'm at!! The blog has been way more successful that I ever imagined, having companies email you from America looking to get involved with it is just insane. I cant wait to blog about my whole journey as a Richmond Centre Miss Earth 2017 Finalist..

Sending Chilled Vibes from Albufeira

Hello my lovelies!! I know it has been super long since I posted my last blog and I'm sorry I have kept you all waiting so long. I originally had planned to blog whilst I was on my holidays to keep you all updated, but trying to blog and add photos and edit the font colour/size etc. was just way to confusing and time consuming through a phone so I thought I'd wait till I landed back on Irish soil and post a proper blog then and just make it a wee bit longer than usual - so get comfy, kick your feet up and get a lovely wee cuppa!

To start with I would like to give you all a wee insight to the exciting email I received last Monday morning just before I left for the airport. I got an email from Mikasa Beauty, a new and upcoming American makeup company, specialising in affordable high quality makeup brushes. The email was asking if I would be interested in trying out some products from their company as they had read my blog.. I know, don't chat I felt like a complete celebrity. Poor Kyle had to listen to me the whole way to Dublin about how I was 1. So lured that my blog had hit America and 2. That a makeup company had taken interest in my blog!! Super big achievement for me, so when I got to the airport again I had Kyles head absolutely melted torturing him on what I should buy, but after about an hour of picking from the amazing range of products online I chose two I thought that would be most beneficial for me and relatable to the blog. I chose their Coconut Serum and their Foundation Veil Primer - Green. So the whole week, even though I was on my holidays, I was itching to get home and get using the products!!

Anywaysssss, to Kyles surprise I put the blog and anything else that comes with it aside for a week and just decided to enjoy the week away. We decided in early January just before my birthday to book a week away in the sun for Valentines instead of doing the over cringy presents, and to be honest the holiday cost us both just as much as what a present would have, we got the flights and accommodation super cheap online. As you all know with me its all about a bargain, put it this way the two of us got away for a week in Portugal for cheaper than it would have cost to book us two nights in Belfast - yep that's an eye opener!! We also wanted to go somewhere very chill, we didn't want a party mad holiday we both had one of them last year so we just wanted a week away, just me and him to chill out, and that's exactly what we did in Old Town Albufeira. Old Town is thee most beautiful wee town in Albufeira full of cobbled streets which are filled with your typical holiday stalls by day and by night the sea front is lit up with several small cocktail bars and restaurants - perfect Valentines break away! I don't want to focus too much on the holiday as honestly there's not much to talk about, during the days we walked about either the old town or we ventured into the new town (where there wasn't much life as nothing on the strip is opened at this time of the year), we chilled at the pool or went to the beach, and then at night time we headed in for dinner and a drink in the old town. Best place to eat in Albufeira is 'Louisiana' Restaurant which is situated right on the sea front and does the best breakfasts ever!! Also right next to it is 'Flavours' which does lovely food also, staff in both restaurants were so welcoming!!Because I'm such a bargain hunter I think it is so important to mention that Albufeira is a completely affordable place to eat and live whilst on holidays. Definitely the perfect destination for couples, singletons looking for a good party .. maybe not so much haha!

Back to the skincare aspect of my blog now, if I am completely honest as most of you can probably understand, I ate like an absolute piggy and that did not have a whileeee good knock-on effect on my skin and I am still suffering - whoopsies! I said the whole time I was away, to anything fatty and greasy that came sailing towards me 'sure I'm on my holidays!' and it got gobbled up before Kyle even got the chance to be offered a bit.. my bad! Also we both only took a small hand luggage suitcase each so I was very limited as to what I could take with me skincare wise.. I had to chose wisely! So I decided that for the week I would live with my Micellar Cleansing water and my new Garnier Moisture Bomb Night Gel Cream. This was actually a very wise decision coming from me, although by the end of the week I was not a happy chappy, I needed my Himalayan Face Mask from the Body Shop to try and gobble the grease from the fatty oils back out of my pores. Buuuuuut I cant cry about what I didn't have for a week I just have to be grateful for my two favs that I did have .. why am I talking about skincare products like their my babies?? Freak. Right lets get to the point the newest product is my Garnier Moisture Bomb Gel Night Cream, I really loved this product and thought it was amazing for the sun. It is a really light gel formula which I thought was really suited for my skin type alongside the weather. As I would already have quite oily skin when I'm in the sun it tends to be a nightmare and just look extremely sweaty and fatigued non-stop. I really felt like this moisturiser prevented that from happening all week it gave me a really matte finish. It is a night gel cream, and I do usually use it at night when I'm home, it leaves my skin really awake and refreshed in the morning, it really is amazing! However on holidays I would have got up in the morning and cleansed using the Micellar Cleansing water and then popped on a small amount of the Moisture Bomb and I really do feel like it kept my skin constantly refreshed in the sun all day. This year is the first year were on holiday I  have been confident enough to wear no makeup during the day.. and still not hesitate to get a sneaky selfie here and there - were all guilty!! I do believe this is a result of the Moisture Bomb (alongside all the masks and treatments I have been blogging about), now is the perfect time if you want to try it out it is down to £5.33 in Boots which is really good considering I paid £7.99 for mine - lucky duckies!!

Onto the two amazing products I received from Mikasa Beauty. I haven't had a lot of use of the Coconut Serum from Bodyography, but from what I have used of it, it is amazing on my skin and leaves it super soft after using it, it also really lightens the skin making it look brighter! However like any daily moisturiser/serum it takes time before you get a true opinion on it, so I'll keep you updated on that. What I am most excited to tell you about is the Foundation Primer Veil in Green from Bodygraphy. I chose the green one as it sated in the online description that it is full of amazing vitamins for the skin, prevents collagen breakdown and also reduces the appearance of wrinkles.. I know I'm not wrinkly but hear me out haha! I got this because I always find after a long day at college and work I would get really bad smile lines, or else the bags under my eyes would become really outlined, so I took a chance and assumed that this would be good for me and my skin, but again everyone is different and has their own skin type so be sure to pick the primer that best suits your skin. Anywayssss I have only used this primer twice and already I am wow'ed by the results!! My makeup is looking so flawless all day and it is even making my foundation glide on so much easier, I am so happy with the product and will definitely keep you posted on a 'night out' look using the primer and how I get on with my makeup staying in place all night. I also seen a setting spray from Bodyography on Mikasa, it was sold out at the time but after the amazing standard of their primer I will be 100% sure to keep an eye out for it!

EVEN MORE EXCITING NEWS....

Super exciting times ahead for MaireMe, as most of you are already aware I have just become a Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2017 Finalist!! I am super excited about the experience and friends the pageant will bring, and the success it could possibly bring to my blog. I have been thinking about doing a blog in relation to the stigma attached to beauty pageants.. I think this is something all young girls would love a read at and hopefully it would boost more young girls to be grabbing opportunities like this with two hands, there is many MANY benefits to experiences like beauty pageants!! But I'll save that for another blog, so keep in touch and let me know if you would like to read something along these lines.

That's all for today, super long blog and its super late I know, but I only every get to sit down at this time to write properly! Thanks so much for all the support and messages with regards to the blog and to Miss Earth NI 2017, couldn't ask for better readers!

Super Mario
Hiya everyone, firstly I'm super sorry for keeping you waiting super long on my blog about the Super Silver Mario Badescu powder! However before suggesting it to any of my readers I thought it was important that I got a good try at it and had valuable before and after pictures to support my opinion.

Soooooo finally after the longest wait and build up ever.. the Silver Powder from Mario Badescu has definitely lived up to its expectations. Again just like the Himalayan Mask I hadn't heard much about the powder, I seen it on beauty bay and watched a short video on how to use it and gave it a go as it was only £11.50 - complete steal for how much you get in the tub and how long it could potentially last you.

Blackheads is something I really suffer with, I thought the Himalayan mask might have helped them but in all honesty it didn't take away my blackheads, of course from my pictures if 100% helped my skin and minimised the pores but I felt it wasn't really lifting the blackheads out!! I had read one review on the Silver Powder and it was along the lines of 'Excellent product!! After a couple of uses I can already see my blackheads reduced!' - of course that isn't quoted word for work because that would just be weird. Anyways getting off track again, after reading that the product went 'straight in my basket' and I was super excited about it arriving - I know freak!!

Anyways the reason behind this blog only being posted now, saying as I received the product a good few weeks ago, is that it was approaching inter-semester break and I was up to my eyeballs in assignments - of course because everything's last minute with me :) I just didn't get the time to get a proper go at the product to be able to see good results. However for just two weeks now I've been using the product two or three times a week and I have definitely noticed changes in my skin.. ask Kyle if you think I'm lying. The other day you would have swore I wont a million pound, sitting in front of the mirror cleansing the powder off with my Garnier Micellar Water, and I nearly had a heart attack for the first time in all my life I genuinely felt like the blackheads on my chin were dramatically reduced. When I see results like this I be super excited to post my blog about the product because I know how hard it is to be a young girl so self-conscious about her skin, and not wanting to leave the house without makeup on. Realistically we shouldn't feel like this, bad skin is all down to the hormonal imbalance in our bodies at this age its so natural, but posting good affordable remedies like this to let other girls (and boys.. Kyle's my number one supporter haha) know about them makes me super happy and excited to see you trying them, I've received a few snaps this week from girls telling me they're buying the products I'm posting about!! I feel so so proud when I get snaps and feedback like that it makes me so motivated to keep writing wee blogs.. it's fun.

I'll stop getting all deep and cheesy now.. but seriously a massive thank you for every single one of you who continuously read and share my blogs. You are the best!

Before

  After

Getting photos of blackheads has been proven so hard this last two weeks haha they're tiny but annoying. I done the best I could and in my opinion you can definitely see results in the minimised pores. Cant wait to just see them get smaller and smaller over the upcoming weeks and hopefully in a couple of months be gone! Its a working progress but so far so good. Great product and would definitely recommend it!

So that's it for today, I go to Portugal next week for a week, and I've an exciting wee product to try when I'm out there to keep my skin refreshed so ill keep you all updated on that!!

Volcanic Activity

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a fab week and looking forward to the weekend. Its been a while since I've posted a blog - longer than I had hoped anyways. However .. that's my own fault! Last week I ordered Mario Badescu Silver Powder Specifically for blackheads, and I've honestly only had the chance to try it out twice, although I have seen amazing results already (I know.. exciting!) I just don't think I have used the product enough to get a true feel for it, to be able to write a blog. I hope to have some before and after pictures of my blackheads too so I'll get that organised this week and keep you posted on that one.

For now I'm going to be talking about Garnier's Volcano Face Mask which I bought today and tried out literally five minutes ago .. eager beaver to tell you all about it haha. Well at first putting it on I thought holy lord this is so thick, I was worried about how it was going to spread on my face. However, with the heat of my face it began to melt into a creamier serum and it glided along my face much easier. It says on the packet to keep it on for 2-3 minutes however I think this is way to little time to even let the mask be absorbed into your pores, and because my pores are quiet badly clogged (hence the Mario Badescu project.. lol) I left it on for 6-7 minutes. Its a rinse off mask, so like every other mask I use, I moisturised it into my skin as I was taking it off with warm water. For a minute I did freak out because I thought it had died my face red, and saying that I'm going out this weekend that would have been no laughing matter.. constant render :). After the mask had been removed my skin looked so refreshed, because I had been out and about all day with no makeup on my skin originally look fatigued, but as a result of one use of this mask it is now looking so much more refreshed. One fab thing I noticed about the mask was it didn't leave my face tight and uncomfortable, it was super light on my skin and you would nearly begin to forget you had it on.. but please don't do that..
Overall I was really pleased with the results of this mask today. My pores are so much less noticeable and my skin feels amazing a refreshed. Perfect kind of mask for those girly nights in, plus only £1.50 in Boots. They come for a range of different skin types, I chose the pore minimising one as clogged pores is something I'm struggling with but make sure and focus it to your own specific skin type - everybody's different!

Wee short quick blog today but just thought I would keep you all updated on products I think are useful. Like most skincare products they need to be used regularly in order to see fabulous results, however this is the perfect kind of mask if your just having a bad skin day/week .. £1.50 - couldn't beat that!
