Hellooooo ladies and welcome to my September edition of my blog featuring all the best Quiz Clothing at Richmond Centre! I have been giving you all sneak peaks throughout the month of what I received this month from from Quiz at Richmond Centre and I've actually been so excited to share the look with you all, but of course when working full time and life takes over.. blogging is just so difficult to fit in! BUT.. I never forget about you all!! 

If you haven't already noticed floral and embroider are taking over this Autumn and I absolutely LOVE it!! There is so many floral pieces which are in at the minute, although they may look like your great granny's couch or that floral velvet material which covers the couch in a caravan, they are the next big thing believe me!! It was even featured in ELLE, I know I'm not completely selling it to you whilst mentioning sofa's and granny's but when you see the look you will love it!! 

I mean I know you wouldn't come into your great granny's house and say 'Oh my god!! That sofa!! I would so wear that!' but you get the vibe I'm giving you its like that ancient floral look, I am loving it which will explain why I picked up my piece from Quiz Clothing, Richmond Centre! 

The two looks combined within my top picks is the floral look above and 'Power Red', as ELLE calls it! Who doesn't LOVE a sleek red number when they are heading on a night out, for me Red and Black ALWAYS wins! They are so sleek, my two personal favourite colours to wear. 

Red is such a fierce colour, I feel like when I'm wearing it I'm really making a statement. I mean look at the models above, they aren't just wearing red, they are WEARING red. I cant express what I mean through my writing but for anyone who know's me personally, you will read that in my voice and totally get where I'm coming from haha!! On that note I've literally had so many people say to me 'I really love reading your blogs because it feels like I'm just talking to you, your personality shines through so much!' The first time I heard this I took it as an amazing compliment, the reason being I want to be as much me as possible if that makes sense? I don't ever like to make myself out something I'm not! So when loads of people started to say to me that my personality really shines through my blogs, I was really loving it I think it's such a nice compliment! Anyways I'm going way off topic haha, back to the fun stuff!!

So when we combine these two top picks from ELLE together for Autumn 2017 we get ... QUIZ CLOTHING! I mean girls there is so many nice pieces in Quiz at the minute, you really need to get up and have a look! However for me what stood out was this AMAZING playsuit!! When I went to visit the girls last month in Quiz Richmond Centre, they had it on display right at the front of the store, I lifted it up straight away and knew this had to be my September edition!! 

I mean how gorgeous is this playsuit and it is combing the floral and power red looks which are two of the biggest trends this Autumn! Now I know your probably saying if my great granny's couch looks like that well then she has got one funky couch, but no I know this isn't the extreme ancient floral look, but ALL things floral are in this Autumn. Another feature of this playsuit which I just loved so much was the little flared sleeves and shorts, I loved flares and frills and I feel it really topped off this playsuit for me!

Now what did I wear it with? Well the first night I wore it was for my sister-in-law's hen party. It was all blacked theme but why not Jazz it up with a little red too? I mean everyone loved it! I wore it with lace up heels which you can see in the picture below. I feel like the heels really complimented the playsuit and worked well with it! I also wore a western buckled belt with the playsuit. The reason I wore this and didn't stick with the usual tie that came with the outfit was that thicker belts are also another big trend this season and last season, who doesn't love a western buckle belt! 

For me the shoes definitely made the outfit! Not only did I wear this playsuit dressy but to shoot my Eco-Video for Richmond Centre Miss Earth Northern Ireland I wore it very casual styled with a little pair of western buckled boots and I loved it!! The day was so busy I didn't get a full length selfie BUT not to worry because my Eco-Video is coming very soon and it will be featured in that so I will be sure to share it with you all!!

Now that is not all Quiz done for me this month, I couldn't ask for a better shop to blog for because this month I also had my official Miss Earth Photo-shoot, and they sponsored me the amazing formal gown I wore, I was so in love with it!! I think it would be sensible to include it in this blog as formal season is quickly approaching and for anyone who hasn't got sorted yet, Quiz is an amazing place to go!! 

I'm so exited for next months blog feature as it will be the special pick which I will be taking to the Philippines.. HOW EXCITING!! This time two weeks I will be well on my way to the adventure of a lifetime. One little girl from Derry travelling half way across the world to represent the whole of Northern Ireland.. ahhhhh I'm so excited!! I will be sure to keep you all updated and the October blog of Quiz Richmond Centre will definitely be something to watch out for!

Deep Cleansing Purity Ritual

Hellloooo all my gorgeous readers, I have been so excited to share this blog with you all as it is a treatment which ALL can benefit from. My blogs sadly are going to be very few and far between within the next couple of weeks. The reason being, if you follow me on social media you will see that I have family home from Australia to get married and I am also trying to get the final touches prepared for the Philippine's so bare with me and I will try and keep you all updated as much as possible!!

 

Right so back to what's important girlies I have thee most excitement treatment within my blog today!! So I have already told you all about the Microdermabrasion which I received about a month ago, skin is still in AMAZING condition I cant believe it. Everyone has been saying to be about my skin, and if you ask me about my skin be prepared to hear a 20 minute rant about how amazing my experience was and also about how amazing my Elite girls are! I can confidently say I haven't wore makeup since I got my Microdermabrasion, obviously making exceptions for when I go out or else have shoots.. I wear makeup then of course! However when it comes to nights out I'd happily put on a strong brow and go out bare faced, feeling really confident in my skin at the minute!! So for a lil throwback Tuesday with regards to the Microdermabrasion please do not hesitate to contact me about my experience, reason I'm saying this is because a lot of people have said to me 'Was it not really painful?' 'Did your face bleed?' .. Now that's enough of a throwback we need to get to the all NEW and exciting news!! Two weeks ago I ventured back over to see my little Elite family, I call them family because when I walk in I automatically feel at home! Everyone always says 'Oh the staff at .. are so welcoming' but I actually cant express how inviting and down to earth the girls at the clinic are. I was literally having the worst day before I went to my appointment two weeks ago, I was so sick and stuffy and just not feeling myself!! I wasn't in the clinic 5 minutes and the girls had me doubled in two laughing, down to earth and genuine girls! So before I went to my appointment all I knew was that I was booked in for a deep cleanse, that was good enough for me, what can beat a good girly pamper day? So I went over not really knowing what to expect, but I trust the girls because I know I'm in great hands! The treatment I received was called a Deep Cleansing Purity Ritual and well .. WOW let me tell you about this!!

 

The whole treatment in general is designed to remove any dead skin, encourage new cellular growth, whilst deeply cleansing the skin providing it with all the nutrients it needs! This was exactly what my skin needed especially after the Microdermabrasion. The reason for this is that the Microdermabrasion removes a high volume of dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, after the treatment in the following days the skin tends to peal a lot. However this is normal as it is the skin resurfacing itself! As a result of my skin peeling, the Deep Cleansing Purity Ritual was exactly what I needed to completely remove any left over dead skin cells. Unlike the microdermabrasion this treatment is COMPLETELY relaxing, there is absolutely nothing sore or intense about it. Whereas with the microdermabrasion some people can feel uncomfortable and it can be sore, depending on the skin type!

 

 

 

I think its good to talk you all through the treatment and what was used as it is good to know if this is what would suit your skin, even if you think this wouldn't be the treatment for you I would 100% contact Elite directly and explain your skin type and they for sure will have the treatment perfect for you! Okay so firstly is the CLEANSING COMPLEX this is a product which is a cleanser used for opening the pores of the skin helping to remove any dirt or grease on the skin. I actually was WOW'ed even at the first stage of the treatment it was just so relaxing. I have never ever been for a massage so I never really knew how relaxing they were, I honestly was nearly sleeping by the time the skincare specialist was finished stage one of the treatment! Not only is it massaged into your face and neck but it is taken right down to the shoulders and back up again removing any feeling of tension within the body.. I was completely relaxed and it felt so cooling on the skin! Even writing this blog I want to go back right now and get it done again. It would be good if I could put one of the girls in my pocket and take them home with me to give me facials all the time .. haha!! Now that my skin was nice and cool and my pores were opened and ready for a deep cleanse, the next stage was the WARMING HONEY CLEANSER. This was another massage (I know I was spoilt rotten) again so relaxing, felt pretty much the exact same as the first step .. I wasn't complaining haha!! However it was a different product being used to deepen the cleanse even more!! This stage lasted approximately five minutes and could you imagine me after five minutes of an amazing massage? I was nearly in my third dream! It was truly AMAZING!! Any stress I was feeling that day (which was a lot) was completely gone!! Next was the exfoliation stage where 1-2 pumps of the TRI ACTIVE EXFOLIANT was applied in circular motions around my face, now as expected this was a little rougher in  texture than the pervious 2 serums, however it was amazing for really deeply removing any dirt or residue within the skin!! After the Tri Active Exfoliant was applied to my skin there was a firming mist applied to my skin to help activate the enzymes within the mask of serum! My face was then left to sit for 1-2 minutes to let the enzymes work their magic!!

Now after the exfoliation stage was complete we moved onto the REJUVENATING MASQUE which basically was a face mask to help finish of the Deep Cleansing Ritual however it felt unbelievable on the skin! I was left to relax in the treatment room with some relaxing music for 5-10minutes (and yes .. I was practically sleeping again)!! It was just too relaxing not to drift off into a little stress free nap! Lastly when the masque was removed the 6 SUPER SERUM and the HYDRA-COOL SERUM were both applied to my face to help complete the treatment and of course finished off again with the copper firming mist!! The treatment lasted approximately 25-30minutes, but it was 25-30minutes of complete HEAVEN!! I have actually never felt more relaxed in my life!! It has now been approximately two weeks since the treatment and my skin has never looked or felt better, it is so bright and really lifted. A problem I would have ad with my skin before I ever started visiting Elite was that it was very fatigued, however that is not the case now!! It is so bright and clear, I have never felt this confident in my skin as I have mentioned before!! 

 

The fun didn't end there we got loads of pictures within the clinic and of course all the girls had to have their go of the crown! Who wouldn't want to try it on? Its amazing I still find myself wearing it around the house all day every day.. I will never get sick of it!

Now if you already thought I was the luckiest girl in the world things just get better! Last week I made my first visit to the clinic, just to meet the girls, the fabulous Emma Doherty, receive my prize package and get a skincare consultation. Well that's what I thought, when I arrived after a good chat with the staff I was ever so kindly treated to a Medical Deluxe Microdermabrasion.. now wait! I know most of you are saying 'What??' as that's what I was saying when the girls said I could get one if I wished.. I had no clue, but I was so excited to learn about it! Now a microdermabrasion is medical safe and controlled intense exfoliation of the skin which resurfaces the skin completely. It is them finished off with a nano peptide collagen boosting face mask .. thee most refreshing mask in all the land!

 

 

 

I simply couldn't complete this blog without a silly selfie of me with the mask on, enjoying getting treated at Elite! What a fabulous day, I was reassured the whole way through the treatment of all the steps that were being completed and why. It made me feel so at ease and relaxed which in turn made me enjoy my whole experience of the treatment! Its only been my first visit to Elite and already I cant wait to get back! I would definitely recommend a Microdermabrasion to anyone around my age bracket (18+), as its a good age to get a clear out of the skin, through the years of puberty and a hormonal imbalance it felt great to get a significant skin resurface!

 

Result!! Can you believe it? My skin has never EVER looked as glowing in my life, it feels extremely refreshed!! In gods honest truth I haven't wore makeup since Tuesday when I went and visited the clinic, I just feel so confident without it!

Within the prize package which I received I got the Cleansing complex which is a fabulous cleanser, which prepares the skin for maximum absorption of the products which follow. It does this by opening the pores, removing the debris of any makeup, blackheads and whiteheads. I then also received the Active Serum which is used for evening the skin tone and completion whilst reducing the discolouration of the skin as a result of acne. I loved the active serum as it has a nice tingling feeling as it is being applied to the skin and I feel it has really worked wonders for me this week as acne scars and discolouration is one thing I do suffer from! Next was the Hydro-Cool Serum, I have never applied a serum as cooling as this. It feels amazing as it is applied to the skin after the tingling effects of the Active Serum, cools the skin right down. The best thing about this serum is that it hydrates the skin without clogging any pores and would be perfect for inflamed or irritated skin! Lastly I received the Eclipse sun protection (SPF 30) which is the perfect non greasy finish, and will also be perfect to protect my skin whilst in the Philippines!

 

This week has actually been amazing I am loving learning so much about my skin and all the different medically safe treatments which are available to help it! Elite - you are amazing! I am so grateful for my prize package and I am so excited to see what this year brings for our collaboration. On my Day's off I Wear Quiz

Hiya everyone!! So as you all know this post is going to be a little different from what I usually blog about, so bare with me it's all new to me too! I announced yesterday on my social media sites that I would be pairing up with Quiz clothing for the next while and I will be doing a lot of fashion blog posts. I'm not expecting to be giving high end fashion advice, but it will be more down the street of fabulous looks I have created all coming from Quiz! I am super excited about this whole new road in my future as a blogger, I have no doubt that it will lead to amazing things for not just myself, but also for Quiz Clothing!!

 

So as anyone from Derry/Londonderry knows we have a Quiz store which is located within my amazing sponsor The Richmond Centre. Now moving onto the look I have created today.. exciting!! I am super grateful for the mustard coloured leather biker jacket I have kindly received from Quiz Clothing in the Richmond Centre, this is where my look stems from. So as it is Saturday and it's my day off I'm not really up to much just relaxing enjoying the time off and of course blogging.. because that's my favourite thing to do!! I have decided to go for the more casual look, however later it will be transformed into that 'causal but dressy' look we all love, for a family dinner! The main focus on this post is how a coloured or embroider jacket can lift an outfit so much!! All I'm wearing under the jacket is a plain white tee and blue denim jeans - not exciting at all!! However, add this fabulous mustard jacket and the whole look is transformed, it has now easily went from a 2 to a 10!! Attention to detail is key when putting together a fab outfit, especially with a coloured/embroider leather jacket, you want this item of clothing to be the statement of the outfit. You want people to say 'Oh my god, your jacket is amazing! Where is it from?' By the jacket making a statement, I meant you DO NOT want people to say 'Oh my GOD!! That plain white tee.. ITS AMAZING!!' the tee isn't the focus.. the jacket is! Even better, when they ask 'That jacket is amazing! Where did you get it from?' You can simply say 'I got it from Quiz for only £39.99 ..' How amazing?? I know these biker jackets are within one of the biggest trends at the minute they are available in 100s of colours and styles from many different outlets,  however what makes this one stand out is that this is not the only one Quiz, has you have an amazing variety to choose from, I will post some pictures below! One thing which is my favourite thing about this jacket is that it doesn't have the belt around the bottom. I know some people love this for that extreme biker look. However I have seen so many people take the belt out of the jacket and it leaves empty belt loops, and I don't know if I'm just being extremely picky, but nothing annoys me more than empty belt loops. That is not the problem with this jacket because it doesn't have the belt, it just has a nice casual biker finish.. I AM IN LOVE WITH IT!

Get Glowy 🌟

HAPPY HUMP DAY!! Hellooooo my gorgeous readers, I'm back into the swing of things again now and hoping to be publishing a new blog every single week, if your lucky I might even blog twice a week!! Since it's Wednesday I thought I would post a nice light blog on how I maintain a 'glowy' look throughout the week, trying to avoid foundation at all costs!! I have LOADS of friends on Facebook and other social media sites who are away on holidays at the minute or who are leaving now within the next couple of days so I thought this post might be helpful and relevant for all you lucky holiday goers!

Now I said two minutes ago 'avoiding foundation at all costs', I am for sure, not saying I hate foundation! It is my all time favourite makeup product and I will be sure to blog about my top affordable picks soon. However, when it's clammy and warm (not that often in Ireland.. haha!!) I absolutely hate wearing it!! It's just because you be so warm it practically melts off your face and goes all patchy and disgusting looking and your contour is just no longer on fleek and your eyebrows have went walkies around your face - not good!! Also I don't know if it is me being silly but I feel like my skin breaks out so much when I wear foundation in the hot weather for the reason that, heat opens up our pores and if we are caking our face in oily foundation in hot weather it is getting absorbed into our wee pores, causing an oil build up (SPOTS!!) So to avoid looking like this I'm going to talk you through some quick steps which I think works for me, and the products I find best for it!

First of all, I think it is good to always have a tan on your face, just nice a bronzed look, not 'night out' tan, its essential for that glowy look! To reach this look I have been using the Righteous Butter Sunkissed Tint Body Lotion from Soap and Glory. The reason I use this product for my 'glowy' look is because it's more of a tinted moisturiser than a tan, therefore it isn't heavy on my skin. Another reason I use it is because it is instant, and washes off straight away again that night when I am cleansing. The tan also isn't extremely dark, because being realistic we don't want orange faces and white bodies, now do we? Its a great wee light lotion, takes two minutes to apply and works as an amazing base for that GLOWY look everyone is loving! Available at your nearest Boots store or online on Boots for only £8 .. LOVE IT 

Swish, Swish Bish.. ON TO THE NEXT!! Now that I have a fab base my glowy makeup routine takes five short minutes to complete. I actually can't believe I haven't blogged about this next product yet because it literally is my all time favourite!! It is the Coca Contour Pallet from Too Faced Products, not to mention all of their wonderful products are cruelty free, no wonder I love it so much!! The contour pallet is literally the best I have ever used, and smells so divine. It is a powder contour pallet and I used the 'deep' version, shown on the right, I known the darkest shade seems extremely dark but honestly it's the best for a deep contour. However, if you do have lighter skin it is available in a lighter shade. The pallet is £32 pound which is quite expensive, it is available from loads of places online and in store like Debenhams and also available on Beauty Bay. I know it is quite expensive, but girls I'm not joking, Kyle got me this a Christmas as a present and you wouldn't even know I've touched it. I use it every single day, and my sister also steal's it every now and then for when she is heading out.. see! I told you all sharing is caring .. haha!! To get my glowy look, after I apply my sunkissed tint lotion, I then move onto shade 'medium coca' on this pallet and give my face an all over go with this shade. It adds a nice colour and tone to the face, helping reduce the redness of any blemishes I may have. Then using a smaller brush I use shade 'dark coca' to help enhance the shadow areas of my cheek bones still having that slight contour, and TADA that's literally all that is needed from this pallet it works a treat!! DO NOT get me started on this pallet when I'm going for a more dramatic look.. ITS AMAZING! Also, Too Faced are a great website to shop off, at the minute they have a little welcoming code set up, if you enter your email address you are immediately given a 20% off code.. why not get on it?

Literally everything you need to know about my brow's is within that blog. Brows are what I complete next, then onto my FAVOURITE step.. HIGHLIGHT!! I actually don't know anyone who doesn't love being overly highlighted.. it's one of my favourite things to do! I actually get excited to finish the majority of my makeup so that I can just highlight the hell out of it .. sorry! What better highlight pallet to use other than the most amazing Suzanne Jackson?? For anyone who know's me, before I blogged SoSu was and still is my biggest inspo, for anyone who doesn't know her or hasn't read her blogs (you are all crazy!), but other than that, get on and get following her, she really is truly AMAZING! So to highlight my glowy summer look, I finish it off with SoSu's 'GLOW BABY GLOW' highlight pallet which is filled with six outstanding highlighters .. aw they make my heart melt! The shades which I find work best for my bronzed 'glowy' look are 'Candy Crush', 'Melted Gold' and 'Peach Smoothie' now without even looking at them highlights, don't they just sound divine? I use these three all mixed together to finish off that lovely tanned glowing look. The pallet is available on a couple of sites including SoSu's very own website for 29,95euro or also available in any H.Sweeney Chemist or Gordons chemist for in and around £25 pound, but honestly well worth it! Also have this pallet since Christmas and not an indent on any of the highlights, very long lasting which makes it well worth the money! 

Now that is the top tips behind my 'getting glowy' look, to finish the look I always just darken my lashes with some mascara and that's it complete! I know there is quite a bit of reading but honestly the look takes a maximum of ten minutes to complete and works a treat for anyone who works in fashion retail or any retail who doesn't want to be working with the public looking like a zombie, but also doesn't want terrible skin caked in makeup.. it's a hard life for us girls haha!! Summer Essentials with MaireMe 🍋

Hellooooo my beauties!! I'm so excited to be writing again, I just never get the time to sit down on my laptop and blog because I'm literally never in the house, but today I made it my mission to get a wee hour and tell you all about my fabulous essentials which have saved me for the first couple of weeks of summer. What more do you want during the summer than to be tan, with smooth skin and white teeth?? I don't know about you but for me that's goals. Although I 100% am not your biggest beach babe right now, with these three wee treats I am going to blog about today, I feel like I'm getting there and that's good enough for me - happy mind happy life and all that LOL! 

First I want to tell you all about Marissa Carter's Coca Brown tan, I'm probably about 5 months behind with this but I don't care because it really is a god send. I always hunt for tan that, gives a nice finish (no green or orange hands please..) and one which washes away evenly, and not to mention something that's affordable. I really don't see the point in paying extremely dear for tan when it washes away down the drain after a couple  of showers.. realistically like?? So I found Coca Brown hidden in my sisters bathroom cabinet one night, and well.. I made myself welcome to it, sharing is caring and all that. God bless my big sisters because I really am a torture, everything she buys new I have to get a go of it, mostly before she even gets to try it herself, but sure that's what baby sisters are best known for LOL. Anyways back to the point of looking gorgeously tan, at the time she had purchased the medium shade in the tan, and I usually would wear dark because I would already be naturally tan anyways, but I still gave it a go and WOW!! On the bottle it says '1 hour tan' but when I was applying it I was thinking to myself 'Nope it probably will still need overnight to reach a good colour' .. well within an hour I was a bronzed babe, I am not even lying girls it went on so evenly and it looked so natural.The next morning when I woke up it wasn't much darker but there was a slight difference and it just looked so nice!! I never believe any bottle of tan when it says 'instant' because it never just comes out a lovely bronze colour it always still takes some time to develop, and one wee drop of water and you go patchy NUMBER ONE HATE!! However that wasn't the case with this tan,I genuinely think it would be near impossible to get this tan patchy it just is so easy to apply. Also I thought I'd add in tips on how I apply my tan, people always say to me, your tans so even 'it never goes like that around my hands' and oh my I definitely know the struggles of hand and feet tan, not forgetting them elbows and knees - the struggle is real. All I do to ensure my tan is even is to apply a generous layer of Soap and Glory Moisturiser all over my body before applying the tan,

I always leave my hands and feet till last. Whilst applying the tan to my arms and legs I avoid my elbows and knees until last and then whatever is left on the tanning mitt I just skim it over. The reason I do this is because the skin on your elbows and knees is hard skin, the tan doesn't absorb very well into these areas instead it just sits on top, therefore if you apply a million layers to these areas its just going to look so dirty, and I just cant deal with that!! Now to my hands and feet, feet aren't that hard to do, I honestly do just think they key is lots of moisturiser, before I put the tan on, I sit a blob of moisturiser on each of my feet, I DO NOT rub it in just yet, I then put on a small amount of tan with the moisturiser and rub it in along with the moisturiser, it makes it easier to apply and ensures it reaches every part not leaving any tracks or white patches. When it comes to my hands I do the exact same thing (please do your feet before your hands and then scrub your hands clean otherwise your going to have extremely orange hands LOL). When tanning your hands please make sure you apply your tan and moisturiser to the top of your hands and NOT the palm of your hands, otherwise the wotsit palms strike again, and that's not attractive!! Other than that do the exact same thing and moisturise the tan and cream into your hands together, I find that sometimes I can have excess moisture on my hands, what I do for this is I get an old towel or a dark coloured one and put it in between my hands and wipe my palms on it then continue to moisturise the tan and cream into my hands, I repeatedly do this until I feel the tan is well rubbed in and my hands are no longer sticky. A tip I also learned off Marissa Carter who is another Irish blogger, (go follow her she is amazing!!) was that lemon juice helps encourage tan to develop, it works as a tan accelerator. The only place where I would use it is my chest, the layer of skin on your chest is usually much thinner than the rest of the body so just like the elbows and knees the tan finds it hard to absorb here, so last week I put a thin layer of lemon juice on my chest just before applying my tan and it worked a treat and really helped the tan develop!! Please test the lemon juice on your skin first to ensure you are not allergic to it, or to ensure the skin does not react in any way, but if it doesn't it really is a useful tip! Coca brown is also only £7.99 in Gordon's Chemist, also available in Primark! Also girls you know me, Coca Brown tan is 100% Cruelty free, so why would you not try it ?? 

I'm wearing Coca Brown in both of the above photos and as you can see, the finish is so glowing and smooth.. I just love it! Definitely recommend you try it girlies!

Know I know some of you have probably got bored, closed out of my blog liked it on Facebook and scrolled on, but this one is for you lucky humans who kept reading - thank you! Because now I'm going to talk about whiter teeth wooooo!! Right so, I wasn't really set out on getting extremely pearly whites asap as i'm going to the Philippines in a few months and i want my teeth at their whitest then, but for now I genuinely was just looking for a better toothpaste, me and Kyle were on Very.co,uk one night and we scrolled across Mr. Blanc Charcoal Teeth Whitening Polish, and if your Instagram is anything like mine, every two pictures I scroll past is them charcoal toothpastes being used by pure babes with nice shiny teeth - depressing I know! But anyways I was like will we try this, it was only £14.99 an usually other toothpastes and teeth whitening strategies are quite expensive so we thought why not and ordered it. Also another point I would like to make whilst I'm on the topic is please don't order anything for your skin or face off eBay for a cheaper price unless you know it is a genuine seller, because I just have such a fear of it damaging your teeth or skin - it FREAKS me out!! Anyways I've only been using this toothpaste for about 2 weeks and I absolutely love it!! I hasn't made dramatic changes to my teeth but I definitely feel better and feel like I have a brighter smile, I will also admit I do not brush every morning and night most days its just the morning, so I can only imagine the difference I would see if I faithfully brushed morning and night! This product is also 100% cruelty free, so don't worry gals I got you covered! TIP: Whilst brushing my teeth I try and leave the charcoal sitting on my teeth for 1-2 minutes before brushing for another 1-2 minutes, I found this was giving me the best RESULT..

YOUR NEW RICHMOND CENTRE MISS EARTH NORTHERN IRELAND 2017 IS ....

Heeeeey everyone!! Im baccccck after a long wait again, but you all know me by now, little busy body! I never ever would have thought I would be back writing as your new Richmond Centre Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2017.. still SHOCKED!! (but so happy!) I have thee most exciting year ever coming up and I am so excited to be using my blog as my main platform to spread awareness of my eco-message 'Power to be Cruelty Free' focusing on animal cruelty in cosmetics. I also cant contain my excitement to be travelling across the globe to one beautiful destination this year and represent our little country on a world famous stage - actually how exciting!! I really really hope I do you all so proud! 

This blog is going to take time away from skincare and focus on my journey through Miss Earth. To anyone who knows me, I literally have been trying to convince every single girl I know to enter the pageant next year. I am actually not just saying this as a winner, ask any of the other 14 contestants and they will tell you the same. The friends I have met are honestly girls I will have for life, in my opinion we left that stage as 'Team Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2017' as cringy as it sounds I absolutely adore every one of them and I just wish I could bring them in my suitcase with me!! They have been so supportive of me over the last two weeks, pageant related and non-pageant related (agony aunt!!) and I know their support will continue to empower me to do them all proud throughout the year!!

(Only 2 of the 14 .. we were that busy backstage we didn't have time for selfies with everyone- sadly!)

Another thing which I loved most about this pageant was it's 'Beauties for a Cause' aspect, where we were encouraged to raise money for our chosen charity the Playtrail. I took this opportunity and held it with two hands, someone close to my hear benefits from the facilities in which the Playtrail provides so it really did mean a lot to me. I organised two fundraisers, one of which was a circuit training morning and the other being a bake sale. Both fundraisers were so successful and to this day I am still overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who donated money, everyone was so interested to hear about the work they do, it felt amazing to educate them and help make a difference! Definitely a pageant worth while! 

I don't want to make this blog too long but I wanted to post a special little blog to introduce myself as your all new Richmond Centre Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2017. Things have been so hectic for me but I hope to be finished college this week and spam you all with a summer filled of amazing skin care treats and maybe even some exciting news! For now I am just so excited for the year ahead and everything I am going to be getting up to, an amazing opportunity not to be missed!!

The Amazing Amazonian Acai

Hello my lovelies! I can not deal with how long it has been since I have written a blog, but with only two weeks till the big final and also trying to finish up assignments alongside having to go to work and trying to organise fundraisers .. I don't get a minute to sit down and write blogs - so sad!! That doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about the blog it is always in my head and thinking of new little skincare techniques to help all you lovely ladies (and young men).. haha!!

I want to start off with my two newest purchases.. EXCITING!! Last week I ventured back into The Body Shop, because as you all know its my favourite place to go when I'm focusing on products which are cruelty free. I actually spent about half an hour to forty minutes in the shop trying to decide which mask I would try next!! I can not write this blog without mentioning the amazing staff in The Body Shop, I was greeted by the most friendly member of staff, she was so down to earth and extremely helpful. I told her all about my blog and how I wanted to try something new to suit my readers, and also about my journey through the Richmond Centre's Miss Earth NI and my advocacy, the girl was actually so interested and she couldn't wait to get reading my blog! I actually couldn't fault the staff at all, good customer service means EVERYTHING!! Sorry I'm away off topic, most of you are probably like 'okay be quiet now and tell me about the mask' .. Sooooorry but I think its so important to give compliments when needed! Today people are so quick to complain and write complaints but its not that often that someone will praise you for what you do - wee small quote of the day. I actually sound like your therapist now as well haha!!

OOOOOOKAY .. so back to the point of the mask!! I decided to go for the Amazonian Acai after staring at all the masks for a solid half an hour. The reason for this was that I read what the ingredients on the back were specifically focusing on, and for me it was what I was targeting within my skincare routine. I'll briefly touch on it, so the Acai berry extract is included in the mask for the reason that it is rich is anti-oxidants and Vitamin C these are two amazing NATURAL ingredients to have in a mask for the reason that anti-oxidants help repair and prevent the body tissue from further damage. This suited me because I have a couple of spot scars on my face (damaged tissue) which I wanted to help, therefore that was the first box ticked. Next was the Guarana seed extract, this ingredient is high in caffeine therefore is known to be really good for boosting the skin with energy, two weeks before the final with a lot on my hands, I definitely needed an energy boost in my skin - it was so fatigued looking, second box ticked! Lastly was a community trade Organic Babassu Oil from Brazil, the box read that this was a nut oil which was good for softening and revitalising the skin, soft skin.. what's not to love? Third box ticked! So I thought why not? I'll try this one, not to mention it smelt AMAZING!

MY THOUGHTS..

Now for the exciting bit, what was it like? You are all going to go mad at me.. It's 100% up there beside the Himalayan Charcoal!! NOW .. not for all the same reasons so please don't go buying it if you suffer with bad spots there are two differences I have found. So remember the Himalayan Charcoal mask leaves your skin very tight and stingy but it is amazing for cleaning out pores? Well the Amazonian Acai is much different. It is very light on the skin, it is so cooling a refreshing and smells unbelievable. There is a slight tingle that comes with the mask however it is nothing like that of the Himalayan charcoal. It feels amazing and refreshing on the skin. After I took the mask off my skin felt so soft and refreshed and immediately looked revitalised. However you know me I will never recommend a mask after one use, because I simply don't think that's a true reading. I have used this mask just THREE times and I am already in love. I feel it has had a different outcome than the Himalayan mask. Instead of really cleansing my pores I felt like this mask has really brightened the complexion of my skin, whilst also evening out the appearance of it, reducing the visibility of uneven skin tones!! This mask would be perfect for fatigued skin. However if you are like me, who would suffer from breakouts and tired skin (I know such a hard life, isn't it ?) why don't you rotate and use both masks throughout the week? Using these two masks together was suggested by the lady in The Body Shop who had amazing skin, it is a great combination for exhausted and broke out skin - especially after exam time!! Overall amazing mask, The Body Shop strikes again with there unbelievable CRUELTY FREE products..

Today I also wanted to touch on my new little NYX Brow Promade which you have all probably seen in my snapchat. It was another wee bargain, only £6 girls!! What I noticed about this Tame&Frame promade was that there was an amazing selection of different shades for all those different hair tones. I thought this was a nice touch as everyone has their own specific tone which they like to have their brows, some people love a strong dark brow and others might prefer a nice lighter brow - its up to you, and NYX is sure to have the right tone girls. Anyways I've been using this little promade all week and I have found a couple of differences which I like, one is that it is much creamier, therefore it is easier to apply, it isn't as THICK as the freedom one. As I came towards the end of my freedom one I found it getting extremely thick, and even when I was trying to remove my makeup it was sticking to my brows and it was quite hard to get off. However this could have been because I was scraping the bottom of the tiny tub haha :(!! Anyways it is much lighter and creamier to apply therefore I found it easier to get the perfect shape for me. One noticeable difference was the size, the tub was significantly smaller than the freedom one, therefore it might not last me as long.. however we will see in the near future how far it goes. For now from me its a 9/10 (dropping that one point for the size lol) would be worth a wee try girls. I don't know about you but I refuse to pay for them dear brow promades.. LOVE A BARGAIN!! Also wanted to add, for any of you who are really supportive of my Miss Earth Advocacy, this product is also Cruelty Free, which I checked on my 'Bunny Free' app before purchasing. POWER TO BE CRUELTY FREE!

PS.. how amazing are them eyelashes? They are of course the SoSue range (because for any of you who know me, she is my inspo lol) but they are from her PRIMARK range?!!! UNREAL.. I love them girls, they were only £5 and I mean they were so thick and the fibres felt so soft and real, I loved them!! I went for a really full lash, these were called HOLLY. There were also many different styles and shapes, get in and get a nosey girls, for a £5 your couldn't beat it, and I'm more than sure I will get at LEAST five wears out of them.. £1 a night when you think about it? LOVE IT.
